How we write and check every page

Baskin Logic Body is general education about training, recovery and food. Here is who writes it, where facts come from and how we fix mistakes.

Written by Joshua Baskin, founderLast reviewed

Who writes our pages

Pages are written and published by Joshua Baskin, the founder: a swimming and diving champion turned championship-winning swimming and diving coach. Joshua is a coach, not a doctor, physical therapist or registered dietitian, and the site does not claim otherwise.

We use AI tools to help draft and organize pages. Every fact is then checked against the sources listed on the page before publishing. We do not invent reviewers, credentials, testimonials or results.

Our source ladder

  1. Government health agencies and guidelines: Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, Dietary Guidelines for Americans, CDC, NIH, FDA, USDA, NHS.
  2. Professional bodies: American College of Sports Medicine, American Heart Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (OrthoInfo), National Academies.
  3. Peer-reviewed research: position stands, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, linked to PubMed.
  4. Coaching experience: clearly marked as Joshua’s own experience, never presented as medical evidence.

Each page lists its sources with links and the date we last checked them.

What we will not do

  • Diagnose, treat or replace care from your clinician.
  • Recommend specific supplement brands or take payment to mention products.
  • Promise weight loss, muscle gain or recovery timelines.

Nutrition and supplements

Nutrition pages are general education for healthy adults. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medication or are under 18, talk with your clinician or a registered dietitian before changing your diet or taking supplements.

Review dates

Each page shows a “Last reviewed” date. We re-check pages when guidelines change and at least once a year.
